Inside Self Storage World Expo   What Happens in Vegas, Does Not Stay in Vegas!

 

 

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Inside Self Storage World Expo in Las Vegas. I spent 4 days learning management and marketing techniques, networking with other operators, and browsing aisles upon aisles of the latest and greatest in self-storage. I was very grateful for this opportunity and brought many new ideas back to Intowne Self Storage, as well as received positive reinforcement on currently utilized techniques and strategies.

Here are a few new ideas we brought back:

• Better use of technology!  Even though we are fairly tech savvy at InTowne Self Storage we will be purchasing new software to allow us to better serve and communicate with our customers.
• Increase our presence on Google so that customers can more easily find us and we can better interactive with our Google customers.  We will soon turn on Google messaging so that you can message us directly from Google!
• Ask our loyal customers for reviews – 5 stars of course!  Our customers are extremely happy with their experience at In Towne Self Storage, and we will be asking them to share their experience on Google and help our business grow.
• We bought a new floor sweeper that will help us clean our aisles in a fraction of the time it currently takes.  Not going to lie, I am super excited for this!
• We also received a demo on a new locking system that is truly “no key”.  Customers can unlock their units from their cell phones.  Another excited improvement coming.

 

 

The expo was also a fabulous opportunity to speak with other self-storage operators and learn about their best practices.  I can truly say, I found my tribe! I have been known to go on and on about a industry that most do not find as fascinating as me, but that was not a problem at the Inside Self Storage Expo!

Just in case you are wondering, I was able to enjoy some fabulous Las Vegas offerings outside of the Expo. I’m not much of a gambler, but we dined at several amazing restaurants and saw Cirque Du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE.

 

So, not everything that happens in Vegas, should stay in Vegas!
